A recent study published in the journal General Dentistry seems to put those skepticism to rest, showing that Aloe Vera as a tooth gel is as effective (if not more) in controlling Bacteria that causes Cavities as any other commercially available toothpaste.
“This preliminary in vitro study demonstrated that aloe vera tooth gel was as effective as two commercially popular toothpastes in controlling all of the organisms used in the study. In addition, the gel demonstrated superior antibacterial effect against S. mitis despite the absence of additional fluoride. The aloe vera tooth gel used in the present study has no added fluoride content but still exerts almost an equal amount of antimicrobial activity.” (Comparative evaluation of the antimicrobial efficacy of aloe vera tooth gel and two popular commercial toothpastes: An in vitro study Dilip George, MDS n Sham S. Bhat, MDS n Beena Antony, PhD)
In addition, Aloe Vera is an Anti-Inflammatory due to the presence of anthraquinones, which can help with the expansion and redness of Gingivitis and other mild forms of Gum Disease.
Important Note: Increasing evidence has linked Gum Disease and Inflammation to various systemic health problems such as Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke.
The inner gel of Aloe Vera plant has been used for Remedial causes since Biblical times. The Nutrients within its leaves have the ability to soothe and heal.
In 1976, Dr Wolfe came across Russian studies that showed Aloe Vera's use for treating Gum Disease. Since then, the Aloe Vera plant has been utilized for a variety of different Dental Health conditions.
According to the article by Dr Timothy E. Moore D.D.S/M.S.,P.C Aloe Vera has been shown to enhance defense mechanisms and it has a variety of components to help combat Periodontal disease and other Oral conditions.
"As a periodontist utilizing Aloe Vera in various consistencies for the last 14 years with over 6,000 documented patients who have been treated with applications, I've observed remarkable healing, reduced edema, and pain control"- Dr Moore Testifies.

Aloe Vera as Tooth Gel
In 1982,Forever Living Products introduced Aloe Vera based Tooth gel.
Toothpastes rely on soap and sand, or reasonable facsimiles, to kill and remove harmful bacteria and other microorganisms from the mouth, teeth and gums. Aloe vera gel’s ability to do this seems to lie in compounds called anthraquinones, which are also anti-inflammatory.
Because Aloe Vera gel doesn't contain the abrasives found in most toothpastes, it is gentler on the teeth and gums. This makes it attractive to people with Sensitive Teeth or Gums.
Recently, Aloe Vera has gained popularity as an active ingredient in Tooth Gel. Similar to its use on skin, the Aloe in Tooth Gels is used to cleanse and soothe Teeth and Gums.
Forever Living Products Aloe based Tooth Gel doesn't contain Fluoride or Bleaching agents. So it can Cleanse and Brighten your teeth naturally, ensuring you Dental Health
